Play in the Water

In a multi-step process that is part printmaking, part painting, and part drawing, students will create layered, textural images. Found items, frabics, and other materials will be the foundation of this process merging traditional techniques with more experimental techniques. After creating a few “starts,” students proceed on a journey toward abstraction or realism. This introductory class will include demonstrations, discussions of techniques and processes, with individual feedback. Take a journey of exploration and come play in the water. Beginners and advanced students are welcome. Most materials will be provided in class, however students will be required to bring their own watercolor paint, brushes, and reference images. A short list of other materials will be available after registration. Minimum 5, maximum 12.
